How to use the tasbih counter
- Choose what to count. Pick a single dhikr such as SubhanAllah or Astaghfirullah, or one of the after-prayer sequences, from the Dhikr menu. Free count works for any dhikr.
- Set a target. Use 33, 99, 100, or 1,000, type your own number, or choose No limit. The sequences have their targets built in.
- Tap the circle once for each dhikr. The beads fill as you go, and the counter vibrates or chimes when you reach the target. The next tap starts a new round, or the next dhikr in a sequence.
- Fix a slip with Undo. Each press takes back one tap. Reset clears the current count after a second press, and your today and all-time totals are kept.
The tasbih after prayer
A widely practised dhikr after each obligatory prayer is SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar, said a set number of times. The counter offers the two forms reported in Sahih Muslim:
- 33 · 33 · 34: SubhanAllah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times, then Allahu Akbar 34 times, for 100 in all.
- 33 · 33 · 33 + 1: each of the three 33 times, completing the hundred with La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir once.
Choose either from the menu and the counter moves to the next phrase by itself, showing what comes next as each step finishes. Follow the form you were taught by your teacher or local scholars.

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir
There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. To Him belong the dominion and the praise, and He has power over all things.

What is a tasbih counter?
A tasbih counter keeps count of dhikr, the short phrases of remembrance such as SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar. It does the job of prayer beads (a tasbih or misbaha) or counting on your fingers: each tap adds one, and the counter tells you when you reach the number you set.
How do I count the tasbih after prayer?
Choose After prayer: 33 · 33 · 34 from the Dhikr menu in the counter. It starts with SubhanAllah, moves to Alhamdulillah after 33, then to Allahu Akbar after another 33, and finishes at 34 for a total of 100. The 33 · 33 · 33 + 1 option completes the hundred with La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah said once instead. Both forms are reported in Sahih Muslim; follow the practice you were taught.
Is my count saved if I close the page?
Yes. After every tap the counter saves each dhikr's count, your target, and your totals for today and all time in this browser's local storage, so closing the tab or reloading the page picks up where you left off. Counts are not synced between devices or browsers. Clear all saved counts removes them.
What if I tap by mistake?
Press Undo to take back the last tap, as many times as you need. It steps back across completed rounds and sequence steps too. Reset sets the current dhikr back to zero after you confirm with a second tap.
Can I count without looking at the screen?
On most Android phones each tap gives a short vibration, with a longer pattern when you reach your target or finish a step. Turn on Sound for a soft click instead. On a computer, press Space or + to count and − or Backspace to undo. Keep screen on stops the display from dimming while you count, where the browser supports it.
Why doesn't vibration work on my iPhone?
Safari on iPhone and iPad does not let websites use the vibration motor, so the Vibration switch is hidden there. Sound and the on-screen count still work.
Does the tasbih counter send my data anywhere?
No. Counting happens entirely in your browser and nothing about your dhikr is sent to a server. This page does not load the map or contact any third-party service. The Privacy Policy describes what is stored on your device.
